Bernstein used a still image from the acclaimed 1963 film Cleopatra, starring Elizabeth Taylor to create this pixelated masterpiece.

Richard Bernstein created this piece entitled “Elizabeth Queen of Sheba” for his 1990 exhibition: Homage and Icons. Elizabeth Taylor was a familiar subject to both Warhol and Bernstein as the two friends loved to paint the stars of old Hollywood glamour that Taylor embodied.
